AI Policy
- We use AI to work faster. A person reviews everything before you see it.
- Your confidential data stays out of AI tools that train on inputs.
- We never promise that AI assistants will recommend you, and we won't use tricks to game them.
1. How we use AI in our work
We use AI tools to help draft copy, suggest layouts, write and review code, generate structured data, research competitors and test how AI assistants answer questions about your business. AI output is a starting point. A member of our team reviews, edits and approves every deliverable, and we are responsible for the work we deliver.
2. Your data and AI tools
- We use business or API versions of AI services whose terms say our inputs are not used to train their models. They are listed on our Subprocessors page.
- We never put passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal information into AI tools.
- We share only what the task needs. For example, your public business details and draft page content.
- If you prefer that we not use AI on your project, tell us before we start. Some timelines may change, and we'll confirm any change in your brief.
3. Content and images
We check AI-assisted text for accuracy and originality before delivery. We don't publish AI-generated images of real people, fake testimonials or fake reviews. Where a platform or law requires AI-generated content to be labeled, we'll label it or tell you how.
4. AI visibility: what we do and don't promise
Our AI Ready work improves the signals AI assistants rely on: consistent business details across listings, reviews, clear answer-first pages, structured data, AI crawler access and files such as llms.txt. We measure results with our AI Visibility Score, which runs a fixed set of buyer questions through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews before and after launch.
We do not guarantee that any AI assistant or search engine will mention, rank or recommend your business. AI answers vary by person, location and time, and the companies that run these services change them often. Examples on our website are labeled illustrative when they are not real client results.
We will not use deceptive tactics such as hidden text, fake reviews, fake citations, content spam or prompt injection aimed at AI systems.
5. AI assistants and automations we build for you
When we set up an AI chat assistant or automation for your business:
- it answers from the information you approve, and we test it before launch;
- it tells visitors they are talking to an AI assistant and offers a way to reach a person;
- it is not set up to give legal, medical or financial advice or to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on people;
- the account is in your name, you control its settings, and you're responsible for its ongoing answers and use;
- where it collects personal data, our Data Processing Addendum applies while we manage it.
